How would you feel if you thought your baby’s pictures were lost forever? Heartbroken?  It happened to me about a month ago. I cried a lot and felt so sad.

My husband surprised me this afternoon with an emailed picture captioned: “How much do you think this picture is worth?” I cried with joy.

I am glad to announce that it  took over five IT skilled people and a lot of money to recover them. These pictures are so precious to us…I am so happy and lucky to have such a wonderful husband !

Phew !

  6. i am so so glad that you were able to recover them. I don’t know what I would do if my computer crashed. I’d honestly cry so hard.

  7. So glad you got those photos back! Hope you back them up! I almost lost the novel I was working on a month ago and the panic I felt was out of control.

France is treating me well. 🙂 Going to Aix for the weekend. It’s May so that means there are plenty of days off!

    • Thank you Holly ! Oh my God, your novel?! I would have had a panick attack ! What is your novel about? I took creative writing classes at university in London and I remember losing a short story. Wrote it again, I was so angry at myself ! How was your weekend?

  8. I am so happy for you – I’d be devastated to lose my pictures. I’ve kept the hard drive from my old laptop and will eventually turn it into an external hard drive. I’m also thinking of subscribing to a “cloud” because if there was a fire, the hard drive AND laptop would presumably go. But if the cloud went down, I’d have my hard drive!

    Hmmm… maybe I think a bit too much? 😉

    • LOL You are too funny Lauren ! But that is good thinking. One question: what is a “cloud”?

      • I’m not great at explaining, but it’s where you store your files on a public server and access them via the internet. Your files aren’t available for anyone else but the server is. I believe Microsoft and Google run “clouds”.

*looks for someone techy to give a better explanation*
